Grant Butterfield, may he rest in peace

We at Marsdens Law Group are mourning the loss of our long term Partner, Grant Butterfield. Grant had been with Marsdens for more than 25 years. He passed away in his sleep on Monday after a three year battle with cancer.

Grant leaves behind his wife Donna and three children, Sam, Scarlett and Toby.

He also leaves behind his other family.

Grant was a good lawyer, a good father, a good man and to us all, a good friend. He was committed to our firm and committed to the community. He commanded respect.

Not only was Grant committed to Marsdens, he knew the importance of giving back to the community. Most notably in his role for many years as President of the Campbelltown Chamber of Commerce and Industry. More recently he instigated, with his good friend Mark Scarce, the Corporate Clash in Macarthur. A boxing night dedicated to raising money for those affected by brain cancer. The event over the years raised more than $660,000.

Grant will be missed by everyone. His wife Donna, his children Sam, Scarlett and Toby, his family at Marsdens and the community at large.

May he rest in peace.

Jim Marsden
