NSW Government Tightened COVID Restrictions for Greater Sydney

What does this mean for your Business?

The following restrictions apply up until 30 July 2021, or until the NSW Government extends or amends restrictions:

  • Only critical retail employers in NSW will be allowed to remain open, which includes supermarkets, pharmacies, petrol stations, car hire businesses and banks.
  • Employers must allow employees to work from home if that is practicable. Failure to do so can result in a fine of up to $10,000 on the employer.
  • Residents in the local government areas of Fairfield, Liverpool and Canterbury-Bankstown are restricted from leaving their local government area unless they work in health or emergency services. Where those workers do need to leave their local government area for work, they are required to be tested every 3 days, even if they do not have Covid-19 symptoms.

If you have any lockdown related questions regarding your business and your staff, Simon Kumar of our office can be contacted on (02) 4626 5077 or via email at skumar@marsdens.net.au to discuss.
