Farewell Kimberly!

Today we say farewell to our Family Law Senior Associate, Kimberly Buttriss, as she will take up the position of Judicial Registrar at the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia.

Kimberly started at Marsdens in 2007 as a law clerk while still completing her law degree and she was later admitted as a solicitor in 2009. Kimberly has worked exclusively in Family Law under partner, Tom Reeve for the duration of her time with us.

Kimberly became a highly skilled and respected practitioner in family law and took up the role of managing our Family Law team at Liverpool where she developed considerable experience and interest in complex, culturally diverse and high risk family law disputes.

During her time at Marsdens, she was supported in studying for, and achieving, her Specialist Accreditation in Family Law and in more recent years she has also been engaged as a sessional academic at Western Sydney University, teaching the undergraduate subject, Family Law, and engaged as Unit Coordinator and Lecturer for the subject, Advanced Family Law.

When asked what she will take away from her time at Marsdens, Kimberly said:

“Marsdens has been the most enjoyable and supportive work environment over the years. I truly believe that if it wasn’t for the guidance and support of the partners and team at Marsdens, particularly from Tom Reeve, I would not have achieved half of what I have been able to achieve over the last 14 years. The firm not only produces high quality legal work but also high quality lawyers and for that, I am forever grateful for my time at Marsdens.”
