Estate Planning / Home Visits / COVID-19 Health Crisis

Marsdens Law Group has been committed to servicing the legal needs of the Macarthur community for more than 50 years. As we have always done, Marsdens is committed to continuing this service during the COVID-19 health crisis.

A crisis such as COVID-19 is an important time to ensure that your Estate Planning is up to date.  If you are required to self-quarantine, or are admitted to hospital, it is important that you are prepared beforehand. You should ensure that your Will is up to date and reflects your current wishes.  You should also ensure that you have an Enduring Power of Attorney and Appointment of Enduring Guardian in place.

An Enduring Power of Attorney authorises someone to make financial decisions on your behalf if required. An Appointment of Enduring Guardian is equally as important, and allows someone to make your medical decisions on your behalf.  If you were, for any reason, unable to make your own financial and medical decisions your attorney and guardian can take care of these decisions. If these documents are not in place, it can cause significant problems in the event they are required.

To ensure our clients are protected, Marsdens Estate Planning Department will be offering telephone conferences and home visits throughout the health crisis at no additional cost. We aim to ensure that we are accessible to our clients and the community at all times, while taking all necessary precautions to protect the health and safety of our staff, our clients and the wider community throughout this crisis.

To arrange a home visit or to discuss your Estate Planning, please contact our Estate Planning Department on (02) 4626 5077 or via email at kwolthers@marsdens.net.au
